Learning French

All AGROCAMPUS OUEST courses are taught in French.
The minimum level of French required is B2.

You must provide a certificate of French language proficiency (TCF, TEF or DELF) with your application.

French as a foreign language courses

To improve your level of French before your course begins, we can help you find a summer school in France which will offer you 1 to 2 months of intensive French classes in July and/or August, with accommodation in a family home or university dormitory.

During the academic year, AGROCAMPUS OUEST international students have access to a semester-long course in French as a foreign language, enabling them to further improve their level and gradually become more confident in both spoken and written French.

Courses take place at Université Rennes 2 (4 hrs per week for 11 weeks). The central desk at AGROCAMPUS OUEST places students in contact with the CIREFE office which handles enrolments.
The first semester of classes is free to Erasmus students. For other students, a fee of around 150 euros per semester is requested. This course represente 5 ECTS credits.
Courses are organised by the Institut Municipal in Angers.
